With St. Patrick's Day on the horizon, you probably have big plans to whip up a satisfying corned beef and cabbage meal, but what will you do with your leftovers? Perhaps now is the perfect time to take advantage of your new Gerhards appliances and turn that excess food into a delightful new dish.
One of the easiest dishes to make with your leftover food is corned beef hash. This is an excellent side dish for breakfast or dinner and tastes so much better when it's fresh. You should start by chopping up the excess beef into small cubes, as well as two baking potatoes sliced into the same shape. You can also throw in chopped garlic, green and red peppers, onions or cheese if you feel so inclined.
Combine all the ingredients in a pan and cook them until they are golden brown. You can also use a panini press or a similar device to press the food until it creates a delectable crust on either side.
Top it with a fried egg for breakfast or serve it with one of your weeknight meals to make use of your excess food and enjoy it all over again.
