If you're a fan of Buffalo wings and have been dying for some comfort food, you'll love Buffalo macaroni and cheese. This is an easy recipe to pull off if you're an amateur chef and it will make plenty of leftovers! First, you'll need to run to the grocery store to pick up a rotisserie chicken (plain), a pound of elbow macaroni, hot sauce, sour cream and blue cheese crumbles. Additionally, you'll also need flour, dry mustard, half-and-half, parsley, a pound of sharp cheddar cheese, eight ounces of pepper jack cheese and a cup of panko breadcrumbs.
Now that you have your ingredients, shred the chicken and put it to the side until you'll need it. Then, melt the butter over the stove and add the chicken, garlic, onions and celery to the pan. While this is going, you should start making the cheese sauce. This is the real time-consuming part of the process that will combine hot sauce, cheeses and spices together.
Once your pasta is al dente, you can drain and spread it into your casserole pan. Cover it with the cheese sauce and chicken and then finish with blue cheese crumbles and panko bread crumbs. After cooking in the oven for about 30 to 40 minutes, you will have a tasty new twist on macaroni and cheese that will have you coming back for seconds!
